JDP with Lloyd’s Register (LR) on Remote Survey implementation
Qatar Shipyard Technology Solutions and a leading Marine Classification Society, Lloyd’s Register (LR) signed a Joint Development Project (JDP) on Remote Survey during Posidonia 2024.
This JDP formalizes joint efforts undertaken by Qatar Shipyard Technology Solutions and LR to review and establish the approach to conduct remote inspection of repairs and retrofits on ships during Shipyard Surveys without physical surveyor attendance.
The implementation of remote inspection of repairs and retrofits on ships with LR is part of Qatar Shipyard’s commitment to partner with leading Marine Classification Societies to provide reliable, timely and value-added services and solutions to our customers.
The development of remote inspection techniques aligned to Class inspections requirements have enhanced our shipyard’s operational efficiency during the vessel repair and maintenance process.
